Studying in the UK
How to Enrol?
For students who want to study for under 6 months and students living in the UK:
- Choose your course.
- Take our online placement test on our website or in person at the school to determine your English level.
- Book a free trial lesson to meet teachers and fellow students.
- Enrol in a course and make the payment.
For students living outside the UK:
- Take our online placement test.
- Complete the online application form on our homepage, choose your course and dates of study, and make the required payment.
- Start your visa application (if required).
- Send the booking confirmation letter we provide to your embassy, along with any requested documents.
- Provide us with a copy of your visa once it's issued.
Basic Terms & Conditions
Full payment is required for all bookings.
In the event of cancellation, the student will be entitled to a refund of any outstanding balance after an admin fee of £250 and any fees for lessons provided (as stated on our price lists) have been deducted. If a student cancels part of the way through the week, the full price for the week will be charged.
Exam preparation courses do not include external examination fees (usually £50-£200). Social programme fees (up to £50 per event) are not included.

What do you need for entry to the UK?
The requirements vary for visa nationals and non-visa nationals.
For Courses of 6 Months or Less:
For all nationalities:
- Enter as a Visitor with no limits on courses, but they must be completed within the granted permission period.
- Sufficient funds are needed.
- Work, paid or unpaid, is not permitted.
- Business or tourist visitors can choose to take an English language course in the UK.
- Full passport is required.
Non-Visa Nationals:
- No advance visa application is needed.
- No entry fees are required.
- Can use e-gates at the UK border. Carry evidence of meeting entry requirements in case of queries. Immigration and enrolment letters, and accommodation address may be required.
Visa Nationals:
- Need pre-entry clearance via a standard visit visa application.
- The visa fee for non-visa nationals for up to 6 months is GBP115.
- Safeguarding checks apply to under-18s.

Apply for a Short-Term Study Visa English Language:
- Only for English language study.
- Must be 16 or older.
- Parental consent required for ages 16-17.
- Sufficient funds required.
- No work permitted.
- Depart within 30 days of the course or 11 months.
- No visa extension.

Documents Required:
- Proof of acceptance to the course with name, duration, cost, and accommodation details.

For Under 18s:
- Additional documents required when traveling alone or with non-guardians.
- Updated banking regulations for under 18s.

Short Term Study Visa English Language Fees:
- Visa fee: GBP200

Introduction of the ETA
- Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) will be required for non-visa nationals visiting for under 6 months. Cost: GBP10, valid for two years.
You’ll need an ETA to:
- Visit the UK for tourism, family visits, business, or study for up to 6 months.
